Lucy Matthews

Lucy Matthews is detailed to research special projects of interest to Cultural Heritage Partners’ clients. She has a specialty in cultural heritage tourism with a background in national and international tourism policy, research, program and project management. Lucy previously managed the world-renowned sustainable tourism awards program for the World Travel & Tourism Council, the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards. She is also the volunteer Topic Editor, Cultural Heritage Tourism, for the Destination Stewardship Center.

About Lucy

Lucy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from American University, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She has been awarded two Master of Arts degrees with Merit, both from King’s College London—the first MA in Tourism, Environment & Development with a thesis on heritage tourism, and the second MA in Terrorism, Security & Society with a thesis awarded with Distinction on tourism for peace. Lucy is a dual US / UK citizen who has worked and studied in both countries. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys singing, travelling, and walking on the beach (any beach!).
