Cultural Heritage Partners, PLLC (CHP) is a mission-driven law and public policy firm. Firm practice areas include heritage preservation, art and antiquities, indigenous heritage, and ESG. Firm clients include governments, tribes, NGOs, individuals, and private businesses. From offices in Washington, DC, New York, NY, and Richmond, VA, the firm serves clients around the world.

CHP’s sister company ARtGlass has developed a proprietary Augmented Reality (AR) platform that brings AR experiences to cultural sites and attractions. ARtGlass tours take site visitors on interactive storytelling journeys by layering 3D digital holograms, models, videos, images, and text over real artifacts and landscapes. From offices in Richmond, VA and Milan, Italy, ARtGlass serves clients globally.

We are seeking a professional Executive Assistant to support Greg Werkheiser, a Founding Partner of CHP and cofounder and CEO of ARtGlass, based in Richmond, VA. In addition to his leadership roles in the two companies, Greg is active in civic life, including as a frequent public speaker.

Minimum requirements include a four-year college degree and at least five years’ applicable experience. Residence in Richmond preferred but not required. Our team is working from home during the pandemic.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manage a very active calendar of appointments that cross the two companies and multiple civic engagements
  • Participate in meetings with the partner, take notes, and follow up with participants on assigned tasks
  • Work closely with the partner to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities
  • Research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the partner, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature
  • Prioritize tasks; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
  • Compose and prepare correspondence
  • Arrange travel plans, itineraries, and agendas (when travel is again safe)
  • Complete expense reports, file receipts, and liaise with company operations staff and bookkeepers to ensure appropriate categorization and reporting of expenses
  • Help ensure partner’s time entry is complete and assist with generating client invoices
  • Identify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness in your work and the partner’s work

Additional project-based responsibilities: 

  • Assist the partner with his role in supporting the firms’ business development and marketing efforts
  • Take the lead on updating the firms’ websites with content edits, new pages, and blog posts
  • Manage CHP’s Meet the Author event series

 Qualifications:

  • Excellent time management, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented (please include our Richmond office address on your cover letter)
  • Professional and friendly demeanor
  • Honest, dependable, and able to safeguard sensitive information
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be very effective independently
  • Able to adapt to change and comfortable with an often-fluctuating task list each day
  • Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Adobe Acrobat, Google Apps, WordPress, and social media. Knowledge of Clio, Basecamp, and MailChimp is a plus.

What we have to offer:

This is a full-time role with considerable flexibility regarding when the hours are worked. The starting salary range is $50,000-$60,000 depending on experience. We offer a robust benefits package that kicks in on your first day of work that includes:
